The prophecy that sets out that separation into two kingdoms from I kings 11:31-39 is actually very significant for our modern age's descendants for Ten so called, Lost tribes of the house of Israel - That are not Jews as Ezekiel 11:14-20 shows clearly - because Jesus actually told the Jewish leaders of the 1st century apostolic age that the Kingdom of God would be taken from them and given to another nation [ Israelite?] that would bring forth the fruits thereof that they failed to do in denying Jesus as their saviour, future king and their God:

" Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." [Matthew 21:42-43]

Who then are the lost house of Israel's descendants in our modern age - that Jesus sent His 12 disciples to in the 1st century apostolic age on a mission to preach the kingdom to them also?

" These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. [ Matthew 10:5-7]

Your enlightening book on the Origins of the western world civilisation - places them as being in the Parthian Empire at that time. And, further- Ezekiel 11:15-20 shows their return to the holy lands also.

Yep, in spite of having everything under the sun Solomon was actually corrupted by listening to his wives and as a result of observing his wives pagan religions - his descendents of the Davidic line/Tribe of Judah/Jews were removed from the Kingdom of Israel and that Kingdom given to a servant instead. [I kings 11:1-13] who interestingly enough was actually already in Charge of the house of Joseph comprising Ephraim and Manasseh. [I kings 11:28]
